For this assignment, I read an article related to stress management. The name of the article is ‘The Theory of Preventive Stress Management: A 33-year Review and

Evaluation’. This article discusses many theories related to stress management and describes the theoretical concepts related to the theory of preventive stress management (TPSM). In the article, I read about different types of stressors that effectively lead to a stress response. I also read about the outcome of stress and its variance on outcomes on different persons. I read individual outcomes related to both eustress and distress and their characteristics. I also read about primary and secondary preventive measures that focus on stressors and health risk factors (Hargrove, Quick, Nelson and Quick, 2011). While reading the article afterward, I also read about tertiary prevention, which is called as the last line of defense for stress management. After that, I read about four critics of TPSM which we need to consider.
