Lisa Borders represents some of the most successful and influential female leaders across the world. Her struggle has been real and with great courage and dedication she survived through it. Command and control is the most popular form of leadership across the corporate world where the leader has full control over the staff and he is the sole person who decides what should be done in organization. This concept has become old and it no longer serves the purpose. (Bryant, 2016) It was successful when resources were restricted to very few people and not everyone was aware of the advancements. Lisa talked about importance of empowering people instead of giving command to them. This idea of leadership is interesting and efficient as well where people get to challenge their own abilities and put themselves to work. When you give commands to your subordinates, they either work in pressure with no dedication or they tend to escape the situation if the work is beyond their abilities. New Belgium Brewing is one of the greatest examples of company that empowers its employees and allow them to participate at different levels according to their capacity and learning ability.
